Not too long ago, I saw these videos. They really hit home for me and I thought you may enjoy another perspective when it comes to our thinking, feelings, emotions and physiology! The awareness of knowing what’s causing us to ‘shut down’ at times may help you in wonderful ways.
The ‘tedx’ videos are in two parts presented by Dr Alan Watkins – Being brilliant every single day! He presents the information in a way you may find entertaining.

Once you have seen the videos, think back to how he talks about our frontal lobe in the brain closing down. In those moments when we ‘close down’ just be aware that something is bothering us and we are reacting! What would be causing us to react in that moment? Notice what is going on around us. Clues may present themselves once we become aware…guiding us to find peace within ourselves. Our bodies are amazing communicators offering us support in our learning and growing process.
The awareness may help you to see challenges in a more empowering way.
