Self Empowerment

Self empowerment acknowledges you yourself as the leading authority when it comes to your own life. Self empowerment is an inside job! You see, you are the only person you take to bed with you every night and the only person you wake up with every morning. You are the only person who you take with you everywhere you go 24/7/365 and that makes you the leading authority of your life and of your Self. Whether in business or personal life, you know in any moment of time if you have a great business connection with someone you just spoke to; you know if all of a sudden you feel sick or if you are bothered about what someone says or doesn’t say; you know if you are being honest or that you sense integrity in someone else. That awareness and inner knowing moves you through life with a sense of empowerment. Then when people suggest things to you there will be a presence of what feels right in any moment of time.

Self empowerment comes from within! From within you will find your intuitive sense which is your inner knowing. You will best feel and work with that intuitive sense when you are in an empowered place where you do not have any reaction to what is going on around you. You then can observe and act if you choose, from that place of what feels right to you. As you go about your day to day life, you can start to observe where you are bothered about things. What is really causing you to be bothered? The answer to that question will be found within. Your answer will be about you and what you are feeling about what is going on. You can’t change people around you but you sure can change how you feel. You will always be rewarded as you move through your bothers and live life from a place of that inner knowing of what feels right to you.

Self Empowerment is one word in a collaboration of sharing for a larger project! The Evolutionary Business Council is made up of amazing thought leaders who are spreading prosperity and empowerment globally. Appreciation…forgiveness…magnificance…manifesting…negotiation…vibrant…power of choice…creation…inspire…army…asset…compassion…choice-control…expansion…freedom are some of the other words my fellow leaders have much to share about. They are sharing amazing wonderful insights as we collectively and collaboratively all work towards making a difference in the world. As each one shares I’m excited to share with you. What about the ego?

Have you been going through a time of struggle and question lately? I know I have been. With the changes in my business I have been doing a lot of inner work as I clear through many issues.

You often hear me talk about messengers who have messages for us. One showed up today with an interesting message. A very good friend of mine, Larry Koftinoff, shared this in his weekly newsletter and I wanted to share it with you…this is the section he wrote about the ego. You may find his writing opens a door in becoming aware of what we may not be aware of:

“Love is demanding. It demands that you forsake the ego… the stories… the illusions… all discriminating thought must be surrendered. The ego creates a barrier or a veil that between you and reality as it is. The ego finds its work in continually interpreting reality… always finding ways to distort the truth… always wanting to be elsewhere than where it finds itself. Its nature is that of a commentator… always analyzing the experience and trying to distort what is. It will tell you that “mmm… you like this” or “you don’t like that” or “I hate my job” or “I wish I would lose some weight”…. never quite satisfied with what is… always wanting to comment.

The ego is quick… before you even realize it has coloured your perception of an experience… it has done its quick work and contaminated the experience… it has come in because your nature of patterned experience has allowed it.

Think of the ego like a servant… standing at the gateway to your heart and allowing in only a small percentage of truthful experience. Some say that it could be as little as 5%… as one awakens… it slowly gets up to 10, 20 30 ,40% and more. This servant is doing its job… analyzing at light speed every action, every perception, every emotion, every experience and then it will compare it to its data banks and spit out a commentary before we realize any of this is going on.”

Can you relate to what Larry has shared? Can you relate to the commentator inside who is so quick to ‘judge’ whatever is or isn’t happening around us? The ‘judging’ is part of the reactions.

As you go about your weeks ahead, start to notice what your commentator may be saying. Every day brings about opportunities to learn and grow. There is no good nor bad, right or wrong. We start from where we are now and move forward with awareness.

What’s the big deal about self empowerment…why would anyone care? Self empowerment acknowledges you yourself as the leading authority when it comes to your own life. Self empowerment is an inside job! You see, you are the only person you take to bed with you every night and the only person you wake up with every morning. You are the only person who you take with you every where you go 24/7/365…that makes you the leading authority of your life and of your self. What would make that important?

You know in any moment of time if all of a sudden you feel sick or if you are bothered about what someone says or does. You know in any moment of time when something doesn’t feel right and its time to make a move. You know in any moment of time if something changes within you or about you. All you have to do is become aware. That awareness opens the door to feeling self empowered.

Why would you want to be your own leading authority? Have you ever noticed how people readily give you advice on what they think you should and shouldn’t do to resolve your problems? You see, those people may feel it’s easy for you to do what they suggest, but they are not in your shoes; they don’t know all your fears or all your failures or all your bothers; they have not walked the life you have nor can they. You are the one who can know how the people, things or situations link together giving you your learning and growing opportunities. You are with you 24/7/365 and know everything about you.

Every person has issues to deal with because every person is growing in some way. Your issues and problems are for you to grow through not for someone else to do it for you. No one can do your inner work for you. Everyone will have to deal with some issues that money can’t buy or fix. So if you have to be the one to count on, if you have to be your own leading authority…where can you begin to make a change in your life to feel more empowered on the inside?
