Is it easier to push or pull something? If you were going to move a couch, would it be easier to push or pull it? If you were going to get someone to do something, would it be easier to push them into it or pull them along? How is that for questions today?
I experienced something this morning that really hit home for me. A friend of mine was excited to share our next telecall series with someone. I was listening and grateful for the sharing. After the conversation I noticed the feelings that were coming up for me.
I could feel the wonderful energy in the sharing and I could feel the not so wonderful energy in how I wasn’t okay with the sharing. To me, it was like one felt like a push and one felt like a pull! This led me into more inner healing. Whatever wonderful energy was going in, I was pulling back on it! I could feel the pulling back…wow.
Has this happened to you? Where in your life are you pushing or pulling? Maybe pushing someone to do something they don’t want to do; maybe pulling someone back from doing something because of a fear you have. They want to eat something and you talk them into eating something different; they plan something that feels good to them and you tell them they could do it better another way.
At this stage in my journey, this is something that is being highlighted to heal within me. What I’m talking about can be referenced as pushing or pulling…referenced as talking into or out of something…referenced as convincing, managing or controlling…it can be referenced as a number of things. They all work with the flow of energy.
You will know you are working with the flow of energy when you try to make changes to people, things and situations when something doesn’t feel good inside of you and it bothers you. When something ‘doesn’t feel good inside of you,’ that feeling is different from something ‘not feeling right.’
Life is a process and our reactions are about us and how we feel. My reactions show me there is something there that bothers me. From there I go inside and find out what it is I’m not at peace with. When I shift those reactions, I no longer feel like I have to push or pull, talk into or out of, convince, manage or control…and that brings about a more peaceful feeling inside. Everything just is.
